Le chemin des écoliers passes by several hamlets in the municipality of Ajoux and runs between stone houses, agricultural terraces and chestnut trees. Above the L’Auzenet River, it follows a path and crosses the river near the ruins of an old mill. The trail also runs through the Natura 2000 area Vallée de l'Eyrieux et ses affluents.
The Rocher d’Ajoux is located on private property; visitors are asked to view it from the village. The approximately ten-metre-wide basalt lava dyke features horizontal prismatic jointing and formed around 6 to 8 million years ago. The Rocher d’Ajoux is a geosite awarded Geopark status by UNESCO.

Notre-Dame d’Ajoux was built in 1868 by Abbé Boyer. The history of the church is connected with the history of the village and its inhabitants, who are deeply committed to preserving their rural heritage.
