The Musée de la Vie Rurale et de la Coiffe is housed in a former 15th-century priory and conveys an impression of rural life in Poitou in the 19th century. The priory tour extends the museum visit into the landscapes and history of this predominantly Protestant region and leads, among other places, to washhouses and family cemeteries.
Nature
The Forêt de l’Hermitain covers 614 hectares and consists mainly of chestnut, oak and birch woodland. Souvigné is suitable for walks in nature and offers the opportunity to explore the Forêt de l’Hermitain. There are numerous marked footpaths, 28 kilometres of hiking trails, and paths that can be used on foot, by bicycle and on horseback.
The “Les six fontaines” route runs through the valley of the Savrelle stream, which is lined with fountains and washhouses.

The Marché au farci takes place in May and August. Visitors can sample Farci poitevin at the market.
