Culture and history

The Château des ducs de la Trémoïlle was rebuilt between 1628 and 1660.

The Château des ducs de la Trémoïlle was restored in the 1990s and is open for visits from May to September.

The Musée Henri Barré is housed in a town mansion built in 1862 by Dr Henri Barré. Its collections include French and foreign faience, fine art, furniture, archaeology and ethnology.

The “Le Thouet à vélo” cycling network comprises 150 kilometres of cycle paths and paved routes, 120 kilometres of which are in the Deux-Sèvres département.

At the Base nautique des Ursulines, you can get out on the water and enjoy views of the Château des Ducs de la Trémoïlle.
