Culture and History

The parish church of Bouillé-Loretz was partially destroyed in the 14th and 16th centuries, partially rebuilt in the 17th century and restored in the 19th century. It preserves characteristic architectural elements from the late Middle Ages and the early 16th century, including intersecting rib vaults, prismatic ribs with carved foliate ornaments and three painted stone retables.

The parish church is home to the Madeleine bell. It dates from 1711 and is protected as an object under the Monuments historiques; the protection dates from 20 September 1943.
