La Coudre: Holiday Apartments and Houses

In La Coudre, the Jardins de Cistus were created on a meadow from 1996 onwards. In 2015, they received the official French “Jardin remarquable” designation. The Château de La Coindrie is privately owned and cannot be visited; it is visible from departmental road D748 between Bressuire and Argentonnay.

Culture

The Église Saint-Hilaire is part of La Coudre’s religious heritage. The historic Tramway des Deux-Sèvres also forms part of the area’s history: it ran through Argentonnay and passed through La Coudre.

In the vicinity of La Coudre lies the Château de Bressuire, a castle. Further afield in the region are the Château Colbert, a castle, the Château d'Oiron, a palace, and Saint-Léger de Montbrun, a church.

Activities

ARB – La Coudre organises sociable horseback rides and other group outings, mainly focused on horse riding. ARB – La Coudre also enables horse riders, cyclists and hikers to discover the bocage and its distinctive landscapes. Maintaining the paths is one of ARB – La Coudre’s activities.
