Marked hiking trails run through the municipality of Échiré. In addition, marked trail-running routes are available for sporting activities. The GR 10 also crosses Échiré, as does a Chemin de Compostelle. Another signposted route is Route No. 5 “La Sèvre Niortaise et les Châteaux”; it starts at the car park of the Centre Socio-Culturel d’Échiré (Espace Lionel Bénier).

The Château du Coudray-Salbart can be visited independently along a signposted circular route. The Château de Mursay is a ruin garden classified as a “Monument historique”. The grounds of the Château de Mursay can be visited independently all year round. By prior arrangement, the Amis du château de Mursay offer groups guided tours lasting 1.5 hours.
Culinary Experiences
The weekly market in Échiré takes place every Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Place de la Halle. It exclusively welcomes local producers of food such as meat, poultry, cured meats, fruit and vegetables, cheese, and honey.
Butter from Échiré bears the protected designation of origin AOP Charentes-Poitou. The Laiterie Coopérative d’Échiré has been a butter dairy based in Deux-Sèvres since 1894. The Atelier de l’Excellence has a fully equipped workspace intended to accommodate baking and pastry-making activities.
