Culture

The church of Rémérangles is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and dates partly from the 12th century. Its vaults with hanging keystones date from the 16th century. Following its restoration, the church was once again able to welcome worshippers and visitors.

The Chapel of Saint Gengon is closed off by a wooden grille approximately two metres high, which was erected in 1828. The altarpiece contains a 15th-century painting depicting Saint Gengon; above it stands a statue of the saint.

Rémérangles is crossed by Muches, underground shelters built approximately three metres below the surface. Some of these Muches are up to 500 metres long.
