The industrial heritage of Thourotte is presented at the Cité de Saint-Gobain interpretive trail in eight stops. The Cité de Saint-Gobain is a 2.2 km walking trail in Thourotte and takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Chapelle Louise de Marillac is one of the stops on this trail in Thourotte; it is also called Chapelle Saint-Gobain and was built in the early 1920s.

In Longueil-Annel, a neighboring municipality of Thourotte, the Cité des Bateliers museum dedicated to inland navigation is located at the inland port. The visit comprises three areas: the museum house, the museum péniche “Freycinet” and the listening stations along the banks of the canal.

Nature

In the town center of Thourotte lies Parc des Effaloises, a 24-hectare protected natural area. A small stream runs through Parc des Effaloises. In 1978, a diverse range of animal and plant life was identified there. The park is also the venue for most municipal and association events held outdoors.

Parc de la Roseraie covers 8,500 m² near the town center of Thourotte and is accessible via Boulevard Georges Pompidou. It is located in the former bed of the Oise, which was diverted in the 19th century to create the present-day lateral canal. Parc de la Roseraie is a green space for walking.

Promenade de la 32 is a park landscape with long stretches of lawn, flower meadows, a white garden, a grass garden and a mineral garden. It also includes a wetland area with plants, banks and slopes, as well as a traditional orchard with fruit trees and fruit bushes.

Thourotte railway station has a ticket machine for TER tickets.
