Culture and History
The Croix de Sarajevo was erected on 11 November 2008 near the church of Guignicourt, on the site of the former cemetery. It commemorates the residents of Guignicourt buried near the church and the outbreak of the First World War.
The war memorial of Guignicourt was inaugurated on 20 September 1924. Its stone relief depicts a peasant couple wearing wooden clogs: the woman is holding a bouquet of roses, the man is supporting her, and both are leaning over a grave.
The Jean-Daldosso organ, arranged at ground level, is suitable for concerts with instruments and choirs and is unique in the Aisne department.

Guignicourt is situated in a garden-like setting on the banks of the Aisne. The Evergnicourt–Guignicourt greenway runs along the river Aisne on a disused section of a railway line.
The 7 km-long Promenade d’Illerrieden is reserved for cyclists and pedestrians. It is a redevelopment of a former railway line and forms the Guignicourt section of a 7 km-long connecting route between villages, crossing Guignicourt, Menneville, Neufchâtel-sur-Aisne and Évergnicourt.
The “Le Canal” path leads from a former railway line to a towpath and follows the route of former rail and inland waterway routes along the Aisne lateral canal.

Guignicourt is located 4 km from the “Chemin des Dames” exit of the A26 motorway.
