Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre combines sacred history, historic buildings and signposted trails with cultural landmarks. The Basilique Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort is particularly closely associated with the town: it was built on the site of the former parish church. Construction began at the end of 1888, the foundation stone was laid on 30 September 1889, and the first stages of construction were completed in 1892. Work continued from 1938 to 1949. The Basilique Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort is recognised as a minor basilica and is considered a pilgrimage site.

Anyone choosing Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre as a travel destination may be planning to rent a holiday apartment.

The Moulin d’Etourneau is a former compulsory mill.

The Musée des missions is a free museum featuring mission memorabilia belonging to the Filles de la Sagesse and relics of Père de Montfort. A weekly market is held every Tuesday from 4 p.m. on the town hall square.
