Étang du Flageolet has been open to the public again since June 2024 and can be reached from the Bois or via the hamlet of Flageolet. Parc des Fontaines is a municipal park for walks with the family; it is also suitable for hiking and fishing.

Culture and history

The Chemin patrimonial foliosain is a visitor trail through nine emblematic sites in the municipality. A free brochure about it is available in paper form at the town hall or can be downloaded.

The parish of Saint-Martin was founded around 1146. The smaller bell of Saint-Martin Church was cast in 1676, and the main bell in 1784. Both bells are protected as historic monuments. The feudal motte is also protected as a historic monument.

The former Petit Anjou narrow-gauge railway, which connected Angers with Beaupréau and Cholet, ran through Bois du Fouilloux.

Events and exchange

The municipality organises two to three exhibitions on different themes over the course of the year. Events for Heritage Day take place at the beginning of September. The municipality also supports and promotes initiatives such as the Fête de la Musique.
