The historic sites in Daumeray include the former parish church of Saint-Germain. It was built in the 14th century as a single-nave church with a flat-ended choir and restored between 1779 and 1787. Its choir houses a reredos dating from 1629. As a whole, the former parish church has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 19 September 2002.

Culture and history
The Chapelle Saint-Etienne-de-Doussé, including its wall paintings, has also been listed as a historic monument by decree of 26 October 1972. At the Château de la Roche-Jacquelin, the façades and roofs, the interior staircase with its wrought-iron railing, and the decorated rooms—the antechamber, grand salon, Chinese salon and boudoir—are protected as historic monuments by decree of 21 February 1974.
The former Saint-Martin priory is a significant 15th-century priory and the oldest monument in the municipality. The neighbouring priory church preserves parts of its elevations from the 12th century. The original building of Saint-Martin Church dates from the 11th century, while the bell tower was built in the 18th century. The present church has an 11th-century single-nave Romanesque nave and a Gothic choir. It belongs to the network of the “open and welcoming churches of Anjou”.
The hamlet of Saint-Germain has been listed in the inventory of picturesque sites since 1973 and includes authentic houses dating from the 15th to the 18th century.
Paths and landscape
The “Dans les pas de Rouget-le-Braconnier” hiking trail runs mainly along flat paths, passes through orchards and the Bois du Grip, and more than half of the route follows forest tracks. It is considered suitable for occasional hikers.
The trail leads to Saint-Martin Church and passes the former imperial gendarmerie station from the 19th century. It also runs alongside the former abbey or former Saint-Martin priory.
Daumeray has the orange-marked “Sur les pas de Rouget le Braconnier” riding trail. It starts at the car park of Daumeray’s sports hall on Rue de la Liberté and passes the former washhouse of Daumeray. The washhouse dates from the 1850s and was recently renovated by volunteer members of the Association Daumeray d’Histoire en Découverte.
Performance and local references
Since 1971, a theatre group made up of amateur performers and volunteers from the municipality of Daumeray has performed a play every winter about the eventful life of Louis Rouget, known as “Rouget le Braconnier”. “Le Vrai Rouget le Braconnier” is a historical drama in three acts and 15 scenes, set in Daumeray in the 19th century.
