Cantenay-Épinard: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Cantenay-Épinard borders the Mayenne. In the municipality, 800 hectares are designated for grazing and haymaking. Cantenay-Épinard is also a stage of the long-distance hiking trail Basses Vallées Angevines, where the numerous migratory bird species found there can be observed.

Hiking trails

There are three signposted circular routes in Cantenay-Épinard, available to hikers and cyclists. The Entre Mayenne et Sarthe circular route is 7 km long and marked in blue. The Entre prairies et bocages circular route covers 13 km and is marked in green, while the Sentier de la Mayenne circular route is 14 km long and marked in yellow.

All three hiking trails begin at the Pré de l’Abbesse car park on the D107 at the entrance to Cantenay-Épinard when arriving from Angers.

Culture

La Hauvraie is private property with a former presbytery and the remains of a Romanesque church. La Passerelle des Mots is a library near the La Passerelle hall that provides books for readers of all ages.

The Galerie David d'Angers Museum is located in the vicinity of Cantenay-Épinard. The Le Repaire Urbain Museum and Echarbot Castle are also located nearby. The historic site of Abbaye du Perray aux Nonnains is in the immediate vicinity of Cantenay-Épinard.
