Saint-Aignan-Grandlieu: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Trails and nature

The “L’Hermitage” circular trail is approximately 18 kilometres long and takes around five hours on foot or approximately two hours by bicycle. It is intended for hikers and cyclists and enables visitors to discover almost the entire municipality.

The “Pierres Aiguës” circular trail leads to a viewpoint on the shores of Lac de Grand Lieu. Along this trail, visitors can observe grey herons and spoonbills. At the Pierre Aiguë site, visitors can observe herons, heron-like birds, grebes and other bird species of the lake from an ornithological observation point.

Access to Lac de Grand Lieu is restricted due to its protected status. Pierre Aiguë is the only access point to Lac de Grand Lieu. The Pierre Aiguë site may be flooded in winter and therefore inaccessible.

The “Les Halbrans” circular trail leads to the village of L’Halbrandière, where visitors can observe the harbour and its protected surroundings.

Culture

The parish church of Saint-Aignan contains 16 listed protected objects. Saint-Aignan Church also has a polyphonic pipe organ in the German Baroque style, installed in 2000.

The “Balade des Curiosités” is a cultural walking tour of approximately 5 kilometres in Saint-Aignan-Grandlieu, held every two years.

Grand Lieu du Conte in Saint-Aignan-Grandlieu opened its doors in 2022. It includes a garden that is open to residents all year round. Grand Lieu du Conte is home to the Cric Crac Café, Radio Grand Lieu, the activities of Ouverture Nature and an art workshop run by the Conte collective; the activities are coordinated by the Village Terre et Vie association.
