Nature

The Côte sauvage is described as an 8-kilometre-long walking route, featuring steep cliffs, coves and unusually shaped rocks. Most of the route is accessible to everyone; in some places, pushchairs and wheelchairs must leave the path in order to continue.

Mont Esprit is a 26-metre-high artificial mound created from the ballast of merchant ships and designed as a public garden.

Culture

The Maison du Sauvetage displays a collection of historical objects, including some that were used during the time of the Hospitaliers Sauveteurs Bretons. Films shown continuously there tell the history of Le Croisic's lifeboat station.

The Galerie Chapleau is located in Le Croisic's former 17th-century hospital and hosts temporary exhibitions from April to September.

Experiences

The “Promenade sur le traict” takes visitors across the sand for almost two hours at low tide and offers insights into shellfish farming. Shellfish farming has developed in the Traict du Croisic over the past hundred years or so, initially with oysters and today with cockles and clams. Visiting times for the “Promenade sur le traict” vary due to the tides.

The Océarium du Croisic has 56 aquariums containing more than 4,000 fish. Every day, visitors can watch a penguin feeding and a presentation of Australian sharks. In a nursery, visitors can see young blue lobsters and seahorses.

In the harbour district, there are terraces where visitors can sample local products.
