Plessé is home to the 11-hectare Étang de Buhel recreational lake, located in the immediate vicinity of the town centre. The lake has a landscaped beach that is supervised in July and August. The short circular walk around the Étang de Buhel follows a paved, level path and is also accessible to wheelchair users.

When planning a stay in Plessé, the desire to rent a holiday apartment can serve as the starting point.

Water and Exercise

The Base de loisirs Wake Park offers kneeboarding, wakeboarding, water skiing and wakeskating. The facility also rents two-person and large stand-up paddleboards for up to eight people and offers private lessons with an instructor at the small water-ski lift. The board sports activities at the Base de loisirs Wake Park leisure facility in Plessé are available from the age of eight.

Paths and Landscapes

Along the Randonnée Mazuet, there are posts with QR codes that allow visitors to hear residents of Plessé tell the story of the places they are visiting. The Circuit de la Marquise begins at the Pont Rialland lake in Le Coudray, Plessé, and follows part of the former Saint-Malo–Hendaye railway line, which passed through Le Coudray. The metal structure of the Marquise was faithfully restored after being saved by a resident of Le Coudray in 1982.

Plessé Cycle Loop No. 17 includes a section of the Nantes–Brest Canal, passes through the Domaine de Carheil and connects the Étang de Buhel with the centre of Dresny via shady roads.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Royale de Carheil-Plessé has been classified as a historic monument since 1980. It is considered the only notable site from the time of Louis Philippe in western France. The chapel is open on the first Sunday of each month from April to October, and visits can also be arranged on request; the ACCP organises these visits.
