Culture and history
The Musée des Forges is located in a former coal storage hall at the Forge Neuve, which has now been converted into a museum. It presents the mining heritage and the work carried out in the forges from the 17th to the 19th century in an informative and engaging way.
The Église Saint-Jouin is a Romanesque fortified church; according to the municipality, it is the only fortified church in the département. It is listed as a historic monument.
Nature and trails
The Sentier du Prince is a 2 km, 30-minute route and is open year-round. It passes through changing rocky and wooded areas and offers panoramic views in a setting shaped by the former forges.
The Sentier Farinel is an easy 3.5 km walking trail with a walking time of 45 minutes. Serving as a connecting trail to the Forge Neuve, it runs along the Don.
The Sentier La Lande du Don runs along the banks of the Don below extensive slate plateaus and bears the national FFRandonnée label.
At the Étang des Forges in Moisdon-la-Rivière, there is a fishing course awarded the “Passion” label.
