Ligné: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Fête du Mouton in Ligné has taken place every year on the second Sunday in July since 1996. The programme includes a sheep drive, sheep shearing, the grilling of leg of lamb and other events.
Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Mathurin is now an exhibition venue with exhibition rails and suitable lighting. It is believed to have been built in the 13th century by monks who established a parish priory in Ligné. At the same time, it is considered to be the oldest cultural heritage site in the municipality of Ligné.
The Racines et Patrimoine de Ligné association organises the municipality's Heritage Day in partnership with the municipal administration. It has published books on local history, including titles about mining and quarries as well as religious heritage.
Nature and Trails
A wooden fitness trail accessible to everyone runs around the Ligné pond. The permanent orienteering course is also located around the pond. The Ligné pond is used for fishing and family walks.
Ligné is located on the Voie verte Carquefou–Saint-Mars-la-Jaille, a route for hiking on foot, on horseback and by bicycle. In addition, a 110 km-long cycling route passes through Ligné, connecting the Voie verte Carquefou–Saint-Mars-la-Jaille, Châteaubriant and the Maine-et-Loire département.
Garden and Stage
The annual activities at Ligné's educational garden include workshops on making planting areas from woven willow, building insect hotels, making wooden garden furniture through youth work and a plant exchange.
Since its opening in 2003, Le Préambule has hosted a diverse programme of live performances.
