La Chapelle-Des-Marais: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mayun is a hamlet in the municipality of La Chapelle-des-Marais and a quarter of basket makers. The quarter is located on the site of a former island in the Marais de Brière. Every year in July, the Festival de la Vannerie et du patrimoine takes place here. Its symbol is the Panier mayunnais.

Trails

Le Colvert is a 9.5 km circular route marked in yellow, starting and ending at the Esplanade Bernard Legrand near the Médiathèque. The route is marked in yellow and can be walked in either direction.

Le Héron is a 13.5 km circular hiking route that begins at the Médiathèque on Rue de Penlys. The route leads from paths lined with imposing oak trees into the Marais de Brière. Along the way are restored bread ovens that recall festive baking traditions from times gone by. On Le Héron, visitors can observe nesting birds in the Parc naturel régional de Brière.

A section of the GR® de Pays Tour de Brière between Port des Fossés Blancs and the Camer/Camérun islands follows the same route as PR® Le Héron in the municipality of La Chapelle-des-Marais.

Landscape

Le Pic Vert passes through the wooded landscape of La Chapelle-des-Marais. The municipality has designated cycling routes and secure paths intended exclusively for non-motorized vehicles. Walks in nature are possible at Port des Fossés Blancs.
