Culture
The site of the Notre-Dame Church in Le Vicel already existed in 1126 under the name “Sainte-Marie de Wisel”. The church was partially rebuilt in 1820, particularly the choir. It houses seven objects classified as historic monuments, as well as 34 other objects listed in the supplementary inventory. The ensemble of the main altar of the Notre-Dame Church was listed as a protected historic object on 16 October 1972.
History
The Moulin d'Esseulles in Le Vicel has belonged to the same miller’s family since 1912 and continues to use the energy of the river on the banks of the Saire. The Moulin du Vicel is one of the last operating watermills in Normandy.

The circular route “De somptueuses bâtisses – circuit A” begins in Le Vicel at 15 Rue de l'Église. It is an easy 3.2-kilometre hike lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and leads to the Manoir de Haut Lieu.
