Nature
Horizon Vertical offers discovery sessions and introductory courses for children aged eight and over. The former railway line between Montmartin and Regnéville is now used as a walking path; the terminus can still be seen there.
Culture
The Église de Montmartin was rebuilt from 1840 onwards on the ruins of an older building dating from the 11th century. It is dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul. Today, only the lower part of the tower remains from the former church.
The Fours des Gravelets were built in the 19th century and have been protected as historic monuments under a decree dated 5 March 1996. They were no longer used after 1914.
The Carrières de Montmartin site can be reached via a small path. Stone from the quarries of Montmartin was used, among other things, for the Pont Alexandre III in Paris.
Events
The “Chauffer dans la noirceur” festival takes place every year in Montmartin-sur-Mer in Normandy by the sea. It includes artistic performances, activities for children, workshops, and opportunities to discover nature and music.
