The hedgerow-lined margins of the Marais de la Dives provide favourable conditions for the breeding of the white stork (Ciconia ciconia); it has bred there every year since 1978.

Next to the town hall there is also a multi-generational sports area with more than seven pieces of training equipment and a second combined handball and basketball court.

A départementale cycle route designed for tourists runs through the north-eastern part of the area and passes through Janville, Saint-Pierre-du-Jonquet, Saint-Ouen-du-Mesnil-Oger and Cléville.

Culture and cuisine

The historic Abbaye Saint-Martin site is located near Janville. The Château de Béneauville and Château de Coupigny are also located nearby. The Château de Cricqueville-en-Auge is situated in the wider regional area around Janville.

Teurgoule de Janville is an authentic Norman dessert made from farm milk, rice, sugar, salt and cinnamon. It is produced by a family business founded in 1993.
