Culture and history

A prominent historical landmark in Fléchin is the former parish church of Saint Martin, which has been protected as a historic monument since 1926. The foundation and the first storey of the original tower, with its Romanesque twin windows, have survived.

In the centre of the village stands the Church of Saint Peter of Boncourt, surrounded by its cemetery. From inside the church, it is apparent that the nave and choir are not aligned with one another. The present church appears to date from the late 18th century.

The Church of Saint James of Cuhem is a branch church of the Fléchin parish. It has a single-nave layout and a choir with a three-sided apse. One construction campaign for the church is dated to 1876.

Water and landscape

Several watercourses and small springs run through the municipality of Fléchin, explaining the presence of watermills. At the Moulin de la Carnoye, the mill housing with its lantern gear as well as the millstone have been preserved. The facility can partly be dated to the 18th century and used water power generated locally.
