Culture and History
The architectural promenade in Vendin-le-Vieil leads from the Cité 8 mining settlement to the construction site of the Le Trait d'Union building. A guided tour of Cité 8 provides insight into the history of the settlement during the mining era, as well as its present and future.
Nature and Activities
The Parc des Faitelles extends across 30 hectares of green space. The fishing ponds of Gaule Vendinoise are open daily; the large pond is closed all day on Mondays, while the small pond remains open. The Détente et Loisirs association offers astronomy activities for all age groups in Vendin-le-Vieil.
