Cap Gris-Nez is a geological monument with a viewing balcony over the sea and a paradise for birds. Together with Cap Blanc-Nez, it is one of the 13 national tourist highlights to have received the “Grand Site de France” designation.

Culture and History
The Phare de Gris-Nez is located in Audinghen at the tip of Cap Gris-Nez. A construction campaign for the Phare de Gris-Nez is dated to 1837.
The Maison du Site des Deux-Caps offers an interactive visitor area in the former barn of the Ferme d’Haringzelle in Audinghen, with a playful tour covering more than 250 m².
The remains of Fort du Gris-Nez, built in Audinghen, date back to John Rogers, an engineer to Henry VIII. The Église Saint-Pierre was built as part of the reconstruction of Audinghen after the destruction of the Second World War. Its radically modern design combines a reinforced-concrete structure with the visual arts.
Routes and Visits
The Maison du Site des Deux-Caps offers five cycling loops between Escalles and Ambleteuse, as well as the Vélomaritime, also known as EuroVelo 4. It is signposted from Wimereux to Audinghen and from Calais via Sangatte to Audinghen.
The La Cense hiking trail starts at the Maison du Site des Deux-Caps, is 5 km long and has a walking time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It passes through the surrounding area of Audinghen and highlights in particular the village’s unusual church.
The Odin hiking trail starts in the centre of Audinghen. It is 7.2 km long; the walking time is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
