Culture and history
The former rectory of Brias was part of the former seigneurial estate of the de Bryas family. It is characteristic of the local architecture that developed between 1786 and 1883, and was built from locally produced, hand-moulded terracotta bricks. Brias’s architectural heritage also includes a chapel belonging to the de Bryas family.
There are also notable destinations in the immediate vicinity: the Abbaye de Belval monastery is located near Brias, as is the Parc du chà teau park. Further afield in the region are the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Cercamp, the Abbaye Saint Benoît de Ham-en-Artois monastery and the archaeological site of Site archéologique de Thérouanne.
During the 2025 European Heritage Days, the Église Saint-Martin in Brias was open to visitors free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those who choose Brias as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Landscape
The meadows directly adjoining the centre of Brias form an initial green belt. They are bordered by hedgerows and groups of trees. On the way to Brias, open agricultural land gives way to meadows, which are likewise bordered by hedgerows and groups of trees.
Hiking
The Sentier du Moulin Blanc hiking trail is 16.5 km long, has an elevation gain of 161 m and is listed as taking 4 hours and 30 minutes. For a large part of its route, it follows the GRP Canche-Authie.
