Berneville combines local history, religious buildings and hiking trails. The Église Saint-Géry was built in 1763. Inside, a white marble tombstone framed in black wood bears a long inscription dedicated to the Truffier family, former tenants of the Abbey of Saint-Vaast. The bell of the Église Saint-Géry was blessed in 1737 and bears an inscription with the names of its godparents and the parish priest at the time.

The Tourelle to the right of the gate of the former priory of Saint-Vaast formerly served as a staircase to the convent buildings. The Chapelle de la Vierge features a curved gable with volutes and a small niche. It was built in the 18th century and rebuilt in 1814. Inside there is a small altar with a reredos and statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint Thérèse.

The land of Berneville was transferred to the Abbey of Saint-Vaast by the Merovingian King Thierry III in 653, and the abbey retained it until 1790.
