Coulomby: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Coulomby lies in a green landscape of hills and valleys. Numerous hiking trails lead through this landscape and give the town a clear connection to walking tours. From the publication of the decree of 24 March 2000, Coulomby belonged for ten years to the municipalities whose territory was classified as a regional nature park under the designation “Parc naturel régional des caps et marais d’Opale”.

For 2026, the programme of the Pays de Lumbres included “Rando Village #5”, a guided hike of 10 to 12 kilometres along the paths of Coulomby. The tour started at Coulomby Town Hall, and participation was free of charge. Also scheduled for 2026 in Coulomby was the free night hike “Rando Ludik’ nocturne”, approximately 10 kilometres long, with quiz questions posted at the trail markers.

For cyclists, the easy 8.6-kilometre circular cycle route “Liaison douce Coulomby–Lumbres” begins in Coulomby. Anyone considering Coulomby as a place to stay may wish to rent a holiday apartment here.

Culture and History

Coulomby Church was built in the 15th or 16th century on the foundations of an older structure, of which only the base of a Romanesque tower remains. The choir is covered by a white-stone vault. The bell tower is said to have been rebuilt by the architect Léon Libersalle between 1898 and 1900.

Inside, a probably 18th-century Christ on the Cross is located at the triumphal arch. A door provides access to the sacristy.
