Trails and Water

The “Dans les pas de Monique” audio hike is 11 km long. The “Dans les Pas de Monique” hike begins at the Saint-Éloi Church in Bachy and is 10.7 km long. The “Circuit des chapelles” circular trail is 6 km long and takes approximately two hours.

The Elnon rises on the border between Bachy and Cobrieux. The Elnon can be crossed via four weirs and eight bridges.

Museum and Churches

The Musée d’Antan preserves more than 550 objects. The reconstructions include a kitchen from the 1900s, a dining room and a bedroom from 1950, as well as a classroom.

The Musée d’Antan is open to schools year-round; during Heritage Days and by appointment, it can also be visited by private individuals and hiking groups. Admission is free.

The Chapelle Bourbotte was built between 1886 and 1903 and restored by the municipality at the beginning of 2019.

The first written mention of the Saint-Éloi Church dates from 1466; at that time, the church was described as a ruin. The Saint-Éloi Church in Bachy contains two of the five funerary monuments of the Tenremonde family.

The Chapelle Choquet stands at the current site of the Vierge Bleue. It replaced a destroyed Chapelle aux Accouts, which had been built around 1791 on the site of an old manor house on the motte of Bachy.

Local Life

The Bourloire de Bachy is a venue specifically designed for the traditional game of bourle. Access is provided as part of club activities, during training sessions and events, or for club members; there are no regular opening hours with unrestricted public access.

Ferme Delporte offers direct sales of agricultural products in Bachy.
