Uzech: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Uzech has a pottery tradition that has existed since the end of the Middle Ages and is based on locally sourced clay.

Culture and Pottery Tradition

Every year in August, the Foire à la Poterie takes place in Uzech. The festival brings together more than 30 women and men potters. The « la bota » festival is also scheduled for the last Sunday in July.

The traditional roof finials of Uzech symbolised the four elements. The pottery heritage of Uzech is preserved in the Oustal des oules museum space; Oustal des oules is open free of charge from June to October.

L’Oulerie is a gallery for exhibiting and selling contemporary ceramics created by local women and men potters. The « Les rendez-vous du patrimoine » programme documents the rural cultural heritage and conveys it through exhibitions, audiovisual materials, walks and bulletins.

Anyone planning a stay in Uzech may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
