Culture and History

The Musée Zadkine in Les Arques was inaugurated in 1988. It displays significant works by Ossip Zadkine made of stone, wood, bronze and terracotta, as well as lithographs and tapestries. Paintings by Valentine Prax are also on display.

The Église Saint-Laurent was classified as a Monument historique in 1952. Ossip Zadkine’s sculptures Pietà and Christ were installed there in 1988. The Église St-André in Les Arques features murals that were probably painted around 1480.

Contemporary art also has a strong connection with Les Arques through Les Ateliers des Arques: every summer, they organize a collective open-air exhibition. Artist residencies are also held there every year from March to June.

Circular Trails and Landscapes

The Circuit de Ladoux is 7 km long. The Le Tour de Ladoux circular trail starts in the center of Les Arques, leads to the Moulin d’Auricoste and passes through the forests of Ladoux.
