In the centre of Figeac is the contemporary Place des Écritures by Joseph Kosuth. The Musée d’Histoire de Figeac is partly designed in the style of a cabinet of curiosities and displays local works by the Catalan painter Pierre Daura (1896–1976), prehistoric tools, fossils and preserved animals. It is located next to the restored salons of the former seminary and conveys the material history of Figeac and the Lot département.
The abbey church of Saint-Sauveur dates back to the foundation of Figeac Abbey by Benedictine monks from Conques in 838. Saint-Sauveur combines Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with Romanesque capitals from the 11th century and a chapter house from the 13th century.
Notre-Dame-du-Puy houses a monumental Baroque altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin, the largest in Lot. The forecourt of this church offers views over the neighbourhoods of Figeac.
The Hôpital Saint-Jacques in Figeac is one of the cultural properties included in the UNESCO World Heritage listing of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela. It remains Figeac’s active hospital and is not open to visitors.
