Culture and History
In the centre of Goujounac stands the Church of Saint-Pierre-Es-Liens. It has been listed in the inventory of historic monuments since 1997.
On its southern side, the church has an outdoor tympanum depicting Christ enthroned. The massive bell tower with porch contains three bells, including one dating from 1608.
Those who have chosen Goujounac as their travel destination may perhaps wish to find a holiday apartment there.
Trails and Landscape
The “Au gré de la Thèze” route passes through Goujounac. The “Circuit du petit patrimoine de Goujounac” is an easy 4.13-kilometre circular hiking trail. It passes local gariottes or cazelles, springs, wells, a washhouse and a fountain.
“Entre pins et châtaigniers à Goujounac” is an easy 4.70-kilometre circular hiking trail. The trail passes the Lavoir de la Fontaine washhouse; hikers can take a break there at stone tables and on stone benches. It also runs between pine trees, chestnut trees and ferns.
Wine and Agriculture
Domaine Belmont offers a visit to the vineyard and wine cellar followed by a tasting. The vineyard plots are located on Kimmeridgian limestone. Domaine Belmont in Goujounac manages a six-hectare area under organic farming.
Art
The 8th “Goujoun’Art” Biennale is scheduled to take place in Goujounac in 2026. At the biennale announced for 2026, the village areas and the spaces of the “Le Tympan” association café are to be used by around 15 professional artists, including painters, visual artists, ceramicists and sculptors.
