Culture and history
The Sainte-Trinité Church in Capvern-les-Bains was created in the 1960s by the architect Paul de Noyers and the stained-glass artist Bruno Schmeltz. It forms a bridge over a valley and uses exposed concrete as well as non-figurative stained-glass windows. Together with the forecourt in front of it, it was listed as a historic monument by decree of 7 April 2006.
The Escaladieu Cistercian Abbey is a historic site in the vicinity of Capvern.
Getting there
Capvern-les-Bains can be reached via the A65 motorway, exit 15 Capvern. The liO line 967 connects Lannemezan Gare SNCF station with Capvern-Chalet; the bus journey takes 26 minutes, followed by a 3-minute walk.

Nature and trails
The Petite Amazonie walking trail runs through a narrow, humid gorge formed by the clear waters of the Arros. It features a complete educational trail with numerous information panels containing detailed descriptions. A 1.2-kilometre section of the trail is accessible to people with reduced mobility from the starting point.
The Allons au Château hiking route starts in Capvern and is 11.0 kilometres long. It includes stream crossings at fords.
The Cap vers les Baronnies route runs through the Arros Valley or along the edges of the plateaus, offers beautiful viewpoints and passes through typical villages.
