The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Pitié combines a traditional account of its origins with a fixed date: According to tradition, it was built in 1654 after a plague epidemic in the region; a mass is held there every year on 15 August.

Culture
The Church of Saint-Missolin, Saint-Blaise also preserves several historical traces. From its Romanesque predecessor, a semicircular apse and a Chrismon tympanum remain. In its essential features, the church corresponds to the major rebuilding of 1712. The present bell tower replaced an original bell gable with two openings in the last quarter of the 19th century.
The Pays d’Art et d’Histoire walking tour presents the history and cultural heritage of Cadeilhan-Trachère through five panels providing interpretive information. The Fête de la batère, featuring threshing demonstrations using old machinery, is also scheduled for September.
In the hamlet of Le Pouy, the church faces east. It overlooks the two villages of Saint-Lary and Vignec and offers tourists a broad view over the entire valley and the surrounding mountain ridges.
Pilgrimage tradition
Départementale No. 123a, also known as the Ténarèze, crosses Cadeilhan-Trachère and historically served pilgrims on the Way of St. James as access to the border crossing via the Rieumajou Valley or Aragnouet. Every year at the end of August, Cadeilhan-Trachère welcomes Spanish pilgrims; priests celebrate a mass in memory of Saint Missolin.
Historically, Le Pouy in the hamlet of Trachère served as a landmark for pilgrims on the Way of St. James who travelled from Bordeaux via the Rieumajou towards the Urdissétou Pass.
Nature
The botanical introduction “Flore sauvage des Pyrénées” with the Amis du Parc national begins at the church car park in the hamlet of Trachère in Cadeilhan-Trachère. The easy circular route is approximately 5 km long and has a gradual elevation gain of 289 m. Along the way, mountain flowers, their appearance, habitat and flowering period are explored, photographed and identified with the help of field guides.
Trails
The Boucle de Cadeilhan-Trachère reaches the village of Cadeilhan-Trachère after approximately 15 minutes, passes through the village and then follows the balcony road towards Saint-Lary. There is heavy traffic on 400 m of the D929.
