One of the notable routes near Versols-Et-Lapeyre is the Vallée du Verzolet et plateau d'Hermilix: the moderately difficult circular hike covers 10.9 kilometres and has a stated duration of three hours. It starts in front of the church in Versols and ends back in Versols.

Trail N°29 Versols–Hermilix is also designated as a moderately difficult circular route. It covers 17.4 kilometres, with 673 metres of ascent and descent respectively, and has a stated duration of two hours and 15 minutes. Several hiking trails begin in Versols or Lapeyre and lead, among other places, to the Plateau de la Loubière, the Avant-Causses and Hermilix.
The landscape along the route includes the Lavogne d'Hermilix, a large water basin lined on the inside with stone slabs and used for watering sheep. It also serves as a refuge for numerous animal species and forms a small, species-rich and vibrant ecosystem. The Dolmen of Hermilix is a simple-type dolmen situated on a tumulus approximately eight metres in size.
The route De la vallée du Verzolet au plateau d'Hermelix leads to the Causse d'Hermilix, whose landscape is shaped by agro-pastoral activities. The Sorgues crosses the municipality from east to west for approximately seven kilometres and flows into its tributary, the Versolet, near the centre of Versols. It is a first-category river and a particularly suitable place for fishing.
Culture and history
The Église Saint-Thomas de Versols is one of Versols' cultural monuments. The restored 16th-century church contains a popular painting from the 17th century depicting Saint Thomas placing his finger in Christ's wound.
The Château de Versols, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, is listed as a historic monument because of its façades and roofs, the Gothic Tinel Hall with fireplace, and preserved remnants of wall paintings. Guided and commented tours are offered at the Château de Versols, explaining the historical and architectural development of the castrum and castle.
The remains of Versols' fortifications include a gate, towers and defensive walls. Around 1360–1370, the village was fortified again against the English; these fortifications included a small gate, three corner towers and two external watchtowers.
The Chapelle de Notre-Dame du Cayla is visible from Trail N°29. It is located approximately two kilometres from Versols on a rocky outcrop above the gorge.
Geographical location
Versols is located on the D 7, ten kilometres south of Saint-Affrique. The car park is on the left by the bank after the bridge, opposite the village.
