At the foot of the wooded Lévézou mountains, where the Olip valley begins, lies Lavernhe.

Those who choose Lavernhe as a travel destination can imagine renting a holiday apartment there.

Culture

Lavernhe is home to an 11th-century church. The present-day church in Lavernhe has a rounded Romanesque apse with engaged columns, capitals and corbels. The Church of Saint Gregory in Lavernhe has been classified as a historical monument since 1929.

The Church of Saint Gregory contains a fragment of a disc-shaped stele. Its dating to the 13th century is proposed based on the type of cross.

Nature and townscape

The Tencil is a small stream in Lavernhe crossed by stone and wooden bridges. Several attractive fountains are also among the defining features of Lavernhe’s townscape.

There is a picnic area in the centre of Lavernhe, opposite the community hall.
