Naucelle is an old sauveté, founded by Cistercian monks in the 12th century. The historic village setting includes the half-timbered houses on Rue du Four; the street was added to the register of historic sites in 1973. The Porte des Anglais was added to the supplementary register of historic monuments in 1978 and is listed as a historic monument.

The Church of Saint Martin has an exceptional organ. The signposted Chemin des moines also links local history with the route: it leads from Bonnecombe (Comps-la-Granville) via paths and small roads to Bonnefon (Naucelle) and recalls a route first used by Cistercian monks from Bonnecombe more than 800 years ago.
Hiking and Cycling
The “Le Moulin de Gary” walking trail, Circuit 4, is 5 km long, starts at the church in Naucelle, has a cumulative positive elevation gain of 130 m, and is marked in yellow. The “Le Moulin de Gary” hike leads to the Moulin de Gary, a characteristic restored building. Another circular route is the “entre Sauveté et Bastide” hike: it leads from Naucelle to Sauveterre de Rouergue and forms an 11 km circular tour.
Several routes of varying difficulty are available for cycling in Naucelle. The “A la rencontre des chapelles” cycling route is offered as a 45 km circular tour of moderate difficulty. It leads to churches and chapels, as well as their history and legends, and offers 360-degree views over the valleys. The “Châteaux et Viaduc du Viaur” cycling route is offered in Naucelle as a challenging 55 km circular tour.
Water and Surroundings
Picnicking and fishing are possible at Étang de Bonnefon. The Espace aquatique de Naucelle offers an opportunity to go swimming.
