Culture and history

The church in Boussac is considered a rare example of fortified churches in the Rouergue. It was built around 1470 and is classified as a historic monument; this protection was established by a decree dated 28 October 1944.

The altarpiece in the church of Boussac dates from the second quarter of the 16th century. It contains a bas-relief of the Assumption of Mary with the Virgin Mary and the twelve Apostles, as well as medallions in the antique style.

A pilgrimage to Saint Roch takes place at the church of Boussac on 16 August.
