Nature

The Statue de l’Homo Faber stands at an elevated point and offers a wide panorama: to the north, towards the peaks of the Cantal and the Monts de l’Aubrac; to the east, towards the Puech du Pal; to the south, towards the Lévézou with its lakes and Mont Seigne; and to the west, towards Rodez and the Rouergue. The five-metre-high sculpture required around 1,000 hours of work to produce and is anchored in a three-tonne concrete foundation.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Martin-de-Cormières has been protected as a historic monument since 8 November 1988.

Plage des Moulinoches in Le Vibal is a supervised swimming beach. It has picnic tables, a playground and sanitary facilities; during the summer holidays, cold drinks and ice cream are sold there during supervised hours.

The Les Moulinoches–Presqu’île de Montredon orienteering course can be completed alone or in groups.

Local

La Belle Verte offers direct farm-gate sales of organically produced fruit and vegetables in Le Vibal. Orders can be placed for collection at the farm on Fridays from 4 p.m.
