Coubisou combines limestone plateaus, slate valleys and green plains with a diverse historical architectural heritage. Particularly striking is the Château de Cabrespines, which has been included in the supplementary list of historic monuments since 7 December 1987. The private property comprises several buildings whose construction spans several centuries.
Subject to availability, guided tours of the ground floor of the Château de Cabrespines are offered with the owner; groups are limited to a maximum of 10 people.
Those who choose Coubisou as their holiday destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Culture
The Notre-Dame Del Boy Chapel already existed in 1499. Every year on 15 August, a pilgrimage takes place to the chapel, leading from the Monastère to it. The church in Coubisou dates from the 12th century and was rebuilt in the 15th century. Inside, there is a polychrome stone Pietà from the 16th century.
The church in Le Monastère is a Gothic church dating from the 15th century. The chapel of Nadaillac has a barrel-vaulted nave, a triumphal arch and a Romanesque choir. Near Cabrespines, the ruins of the Château du Tourruol date back to a castle built in the 11th century.
Landscape
Numerous terraces are still preserved on the sunny slopes of Coubisou. They are a reminder of the wine grown there in the 19th century.
Hiking
The Chemin des deux églises is a hiking trail connecting the villages of Coubisou and Vinnac. The trail starts and ends at the car park by the salle des fêtes in Coubisou.
