The Espace Georges Rouquier is a museum dedicated to filmmaker Georges Rouquier. It presents 58 minutes of film excerpts on around ten screens, as well as a screening room, interviews and documents relating to Georges Rouquier’s work.
Nos campagnes autrefois showcases rural life before 1950, that is, before the mechanisation of agriculture. On display are animal-drawn agricultural equipment, harnesses and clothing from earlier times. The exhibition also reconstructs a cellar, a forge, a henhouse, a kitchen, a bedroom, a school and a town hall, as well as scenes or figures with sound.
