Culture and history
The Pont-Vieux is a bridge dating from the early 13th century with three pointed arches. It has been classified as a Monument historique since 9 March 1888.
The Chapelle de Perse has been classified as a Monument historique since it was added to the list in 1862. The Romanesque church of Perse was built between the late 11th and early 12th centuries. Together with the portal of Conques, its portal is one of only two surviving examples of large-scale Romanesque sculptural decoration in the Rouergue.
The Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs is located in the historic centre of Espalion. It was built in 1700 in the Baroque style and lies on a route to Santiago de Compostela.
The Château de Calmont d’Olt offers a visitor route covering the architecture and history of the site. A tour through Espalion’s old town highlights the former tanneries between the two bridges. The Musée Joseph Vaylet is housed in the former Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Vallée du Lot à vélo (V86) route includes a section of approximately 28 kilometres, using the GR 65 between Espalion and Saint-Côme.
