Culture
At the heart of the old village lies the Lavoir de Méréville, which probably dates from 1842. The washhouse has a wooden roof structure, a stone basin and an attached fountain with a cast-iron lion's head serving as the outlet.
The Église Saint-Maurice dates from 1771 and was built on the ruins of an earlier building. The former church on this site is documented as early as 1072 and was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648).

Almost half of Méréville's area is covered by forest. Méréville also includes 46 hectares of ponds, including the Étang de la Fontaine du Chêne.
A path leading to the manor house of Domaine Saint-Thiébaut opens onto fields with views of the Côtes de Moselle; Ludres and Messein are visible in the distance.
The name Étang de la Justice recalls a former site where punishments imposed by the feudal lord under high justice were carried out and where a gallows stood. Today's Étang de la Justice was created through the extraction of sand and gravel.
