Culture and History

The Romanesque church of Terrats was remodelled in the 14th and 15th centuries by adding two chapels on either side of the nave. The church of Terrats was restored in 1735 and 1767. The Church of Sainte-Julie-et-Sainte-Baselice also houses a 16th-century silver processional cross, which is protected as a Monument historique under reference PM66000900.

The Palace of the Kings of Majorca and the Musée d'art Hyacinthe-Rigaud are located in the surrounding area of Terrats. In the wider region around Terrats, there are also Château Roussillon and the historic site of Castell dels Moros.

Wine and Local Character

The Terrats winery was built in 1932 and is still in operation. The Vignobles Terrassous network includes a sales and wine-tasting venue in Terrats. Vignobles Terrassous also offers a wine tourism experience called “Apéro Terroir”.
