Saint-Julien-de-la-Nef is located in the accession area of the Cévennes National Park. The Le Serre route runs through the village. The Le Ranc de Banes route also passes through Saint-Julien-de-la-Nef; it is laid out as a difficult, 13.7 km circular trail with yellow markings and signposts.

A connection for cycle tourists is provided by the four-day Tour du mont Aigoual cycling route: its third stage passes through Saint-Julien-de-la-Nef.
