Pujaut: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Pujaut is home to the Chapelle Saint-Vérédème, the oldest building in the village. The chapel dates back to the 10th century and was built in the Romanesque style. It is named after Vérédème, a 7th-century hermit who later became Bishop of Avignon. The Chapelle Saint-Vérédème is used as a venue for exhibitions and visits.

History and Culture
The Moulin Chiron was built in 1175 by Jacques Bouissonnas. Flour was produced there from 1775 until the end of the 19th century.
Pujaut airfield was opened to the public in 1947. After opening, it was initially used for winch-launched gliding and later for skydiving, model flying and astronomy. The first skydiving training centre was established at Pujaut airfield. Avignon-Pujaut airfield is used for leisure and tourism activities.
In Pujaut, Printemps des Poètes includes a street exhibition featuring photographs and poems. There was an edition of Printemps des Poètes in Pujaut in 2025; in March 2022, the municipality took part in the national event.
Pujaut has hosted the Festi Jeunes theatre festival since 2013. Festi Jeunes is a family theatre festival. The festival includes musical fairy tales and comedy theatre. Some performances are aimed at children from six months old.
Activities
Skydive Pujaut offers PAC training. It begins with six supervised jumps and leads to the independent completion of skydives.
The Moulin Chiron is located on the Plateau de la Vierge above Pujaut. From there, it offers panoramic views of the village and the surrounding area; there are also opportunities for walking, sporting activities and picnicking.
Nature and Cycling
At least 65 species of conservation concern, regionally declining or rare species have been identified in the Planas wetland, including insects, flowering plants, birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals.
The signposted “Patrimoine et Aviation” cycling route starts in Pujaut, is 11.31 km long, has an elevation gain of 87 metres and takes about one hour. It passes the Pujaut airfield and offers views of the former ponds from the Belvédère de la Vierge. The route can also be ridden by mountain bike; the tour takes about one hour.
Wine and Market
Le Cellier des Chartreux is a cooperative winery with a tasting room in Pujaut. Reservations for the tasting cellar can be made by email, telephone and online. Pujaut’s wine production includes AOC and IGP wines under the Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages and IGP Gard designations.
The Pujaut market takes place every Thursday morning in the market square.
