Branoux-Les-Taillades: Holiday Apartments and Houses
Branoux-les-Taillades lies at the foot of the Col de la Baraque on a small plateau surrounded by mountains covered with chestnut and pine trees. The municipality stretches along the right bank of the Gardon; in the narrow valley here, the RN 106 and a railway line run through it.

Landscape and Trails
The GR 44 B crosses Branoux-les-Taillades along the ridges and overlooks the Branoux Valley from the Col de la Baraque towards Castanet. The Chemin du Mineur is also part of the trail network: it was rehabilitated and signposted over a length of 5.5 km; pupils from Branoux and Les Taillades used it as part of the “one trail, one school” project.
Various megalithic traces can be found in the hills of Branoux-les-Taillades near Caussiers, Mortissou, Castanet and Lichère. During a walk, dolmens as well as signs and rock engravings can be discovered among the megalithic remains.
Culture and History
The Église Saint-Pierre de Blannaves is a Romanesque church dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. It was built by monks from Saint-Victor Abbey in Marseille and was listed as a historic monument by decree of 6 December 1949. The church has a simple layout without a chancel bay; at the apse, four pilaster strips support a triple-arched frieze.
According to archival texts, the Pont Bertrand was built shortly before 1800 and spans the Brémo. It is a very high bridge with a single arch and parapets made of slate or stone slabs. The Pont Bertrand lies between the village of Branoux and the hamlet of La Favède.
Cycling and Water
In the Les Taillades area lies the fully renovated Vélodrome Louis-Riquet, featuring a 250-metre cycling track in natural surroundings. It is considered one of only three facilities of its kind in Occitania.
Above the two villages lies Lac des Camboux, with a water sports centre.
Mas Magique is a guesthouse in a 17th-century Cévenol mas in Branoux-les-Taillades. Auberge du Fraissinet is a restaurant on the Gardon offering home-cooked cuisine made with local, fresh and seasonal produce.
