Bréau-et-Salagosse: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Bréau was laid out according to the principles of circular settlement planning and has an orchard at its center. Planning your own trip to Bréau-et-Salagosse can also include renting a holiday apartment.

Culture

The temple in Bréau dates from 1845 and is octagonal; its steps were carved by a local craftsman.

The Arboretum de Puéchagut was established from the 1870s onward by Georges Fabre and Charles Flahault. It is located on the southern slope of Lingas in the Aigoual Massif, within the territory of Bréau-et-Salagosse.

Located at an altitude of 1,000 meters, the Maison des Cévennes was one of ten forestry houses in the Aigoual Massif during the reforestation period. The “Le Col de la Cravate” route provides an insight into the history of reforestation in the Aigoual Massif.

The annual Salon de Bréau showcases works by painters, visual artists, and ceramicists active in the Cévennes. The 26th edition of the Salon de Bréau en Cévennes was held with seven artists; works in oil, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, and photography were presented. In the hamlet of Le Plan, the Maison des Jouets presents its own creations as well as toys collected from around the world.
