Nature
The “Vallon du Rouvegade” ZNIEFF area is located partly in the municipality of Montignargues and in the Bois de Lens. It covers a 3.5-kilometre section of the Ruisseau du Rouvégade.

Culture
The “Four à pain” oven has existed since at least the 19th century. In 1879, the baker appointed for the communal bread oven was required to bake bread for all residents of the municipality without distinction. A farmer-baker is also one of the special local activities in Montignargues.
